Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown
Dr. Brown is also a national leader in the American Heart Association, American College of Cardiology, Association of Black Cardiologists, and Christian Medical & Dental Associations, and a member of the American Society for Preventive Cardiology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology. She has presented her poetry at various locations around the United States and Jamaica. Several of her medical poems have been published in medical magazines. She has recited her poetry on Mayo Clinic Radio, and was featured on the Mayo Clinic News Website. Dr. Brown infuses poetry into all areas of learning, study, and practice. She enjoys traveling, music, good food, and great conversations, and has helped lead medical missions teams throughout the United States, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown
Sherry-Ann Brown, MD, PhD is a Physician, Scientist, Writer, and Poet in Cardiology. Dr. Brown trained in the Clinician Investigator program, and served as an Instructor in Medicine (board-certified in Internal Medicine), at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota. She was a resident physician at Mayo Clinic from 2012 to 2015. Dr. Brown received her M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Graduate School, and her B.A. and M.A. in Physics from Wesleyan University, with a concentration in Biotechnology

Dr. Sherry-Ann Brown
Dr. Brown was a resident physician at Mayo Clinic from 2012 to 2015. Dr. Brown received her M.D. and Ph.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine and Graduate School, and her B.A. and M.A. in Physics from Wesleyan University, with a concentration in Biotechnology. She is originally from Jamaica and taught at a conference in rural Jamaica for several years. Her innovations and domestic and international service have resulted in first authorship of scientific and medical journal articles, a textbook chapter, blogs, posters presented across the United States and in the United Kingdom, and published science/medicine poems, as well as a number of awards, nominations, and invited talks. She is proficient in Spanish (including some medical Spanish).
